Benefits of IVPA Membership
Membership Categories
Ordinary Member
Individuals, firms, or companies involved in manufacturing vegetable oils or fats in india, offering related services, or contributing to the edible oils and oilseeds value chain are eligible to apply for membership. Ordinary membership fee varies with the size/business of the company
Associate Member
Any individual, firm, or company involved in agriculture, trade, commerce, industry, the edible oil value chain, or related services, and aligned with the association's goals, can apply for associate membership.
- Restrictions: an individual cannot become an associate member if their firm, where they are a partner, proprietor, or director, is already a member.
- Limitations: associate members cannot vote in association meetings, hold office, or serve on committees unless the executive committee makes an exception.
- Transition to ordinary membership: after two years as an associate member, they may apply to become an ordinary member, subject to executive committee approval in the general meeting.
- Eligibility: membership can be given to association, exchange, institute membership, brokers & dealers, plant, equipment, consultants, foreign members, clearing & forwarding & freights agents, merchant & producers in oilseed & edible oil chain, etc. Please do contact our office for details on the fee structure.
Honorary Member
The executive committee, on the president’s recommendation, may admit individuals as honorary members for a decided period. These individuals are recognized for their excellence in public service, trade, industry, or related fields. Honorary members do not have voting rights in association meetings.
